Teeth and Face Classifications


Overbite:
A very common bite problem where the lower jaw is set further behind the upper jaw giving the appearance of "buck teeth."
 
Underbite:
This is a bite where the lower jaw appears stronger than the upper jaw.
Most of the time it is actually caused by lack of growth of the upper jaw.
 
Impacted Teeth:
This is when adult teeth fail to erupt into the mouth.
This usually happens to the wisdom teeth or the canines when there is not enough room
 
Openbite:
This is where there is a gap between the upper and lower front teeth.
This is usually caused by thumb sucking or mouth breathing habit
